چکیده
This paper quantifies rates of shoreline change and investigates the influence surficial geology on dynamics between 1950 2018 Pelly Island, located 10 km off Mackenzie Delta. Long-term changes in position were calculated using imagery analysis Analysing Moving Boundaries Using R (AMBUR). The exposure to predominant storm direction examined for northwestern southeastern zones. average annual linear regression rate (LRR) during 1950–2018 observation period was ?3.8 m·a ?1 . end point (EPR) seven periods: 1950–1972, 1972–1985, 1985–2000, 2000–2018, 2000–2013, 2013–2018, 1950–2018. A mean EPR ?5.5 ± 0.7 2000–2018 period, a maximum retreat 46.7 2.1 recorded 2013–2018 period. By comparing sections historical shorelines with differing storms, it possible draw conclusions why Island continues have highest Mackenzie–Beaufort region. Greater observed lacustrine deposits (5.3 ) compared moraine (2.7 ). In addition, from northwest found be major all periods.

Investigating Arctic Sea Ice Survivability in the Beaufort Sea
Arctic sea ice extent has continued to decline in recent years, and the fractional coverage of multi-year sea ice has decreased significantly during this period. The Beaufort Sea region has been the site of much of the loss of multi-year sea ice, and it continues to play a large role in the extinction of ice during the melt season. We present an analysis of the influence of satellite-derived ic...

[1] The extent of Arctic perennial sea ice, the year-round ice cover, was significantly reduced between March 2005 and March 2007 by 1.08 10 km, a 23% loss from 4.69 10 km to 3.61 10 km, as observed by the QuikSCAT/SeaWinds satellite scatterometer (QSCAT). Moreover, the buoy-based Drift-Age Model (DM) provided long-term trends in Arctic sea-ice age since the 1950s. Perennial-ice extent loss in ...

Over the past three decades of the observed satellite record, there have been significant changes in sea ice cover across the Bering, Chukchi, and Beaufort seas of the Pacific Arctic Region (PAR). Satellite data reveal that patterns in sea ice cover have been spatially heterogeneous, with significant declines in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas, yet more complex multi-year variability in the Berin...
